Bells Palsy:

Paralysis of facial nerve causes weak muscles on the side of the face. Hearing can be affected; sounds can seem to be too loud. Loss of taste may occur. Recovery can take place spontaneously.

Homeopathic: Belladonna should be tried. One high potency in the morning followed by another in the evening and one more the next morning.

Bladder Problems:

The bladder is a sac‑shaped organ that has a wall of smooth muscle and stores urine produced by the kidneys. When there is a bladder problem make sure there is no constipation as this can increase the problem. Men should have the prostate checked. Problems such as burning urination, frequent urination, cloudy urine, pain in the small of the back may be helped by some

of the following.

Foods: Cranberry juice, cranberries, cherry juice and cherries, watermelon, asparagus, strawberries, parsley, watercress, barley and barley water. Do not eat apples or drink apple juice or coffee for 3 weeks and see if you notice a difference.

Herbs: Bladderwrack, Corn silk, Marshmallow, Uva Ursi, Red Clover, Dandelion, Willow Bark (helps relieve pain), Alfalfa, Horsetail (will help stabilize the bladder).

Homeopathic: Cantharis, if it is a urinary tract problem. Equisetum, but do not take horsetail as an herb while taking this.

Blood Types:

An interesting philosophy has been developed by Dr. James D'Adamo. I have found it to be very valuable information in dealing with people. If you know your own blood type (and you can ask your doctor to authorize a blood type test), you may be interested in checking it against the following information. It is amazing how people seem to instinctively lean toward diet patterns based on their blood type. Type A blood people intuitively listen to their bodies and adopt a vegetarian approach to food Blood type seems to be a central core in one's approach to nutrition, personality and habits.

Blood Type A: Has an active mind. Incredible thinker. No dairy or flesh products. Feels better to be a vegetarian. Low physical energies, no inclination for exercise. Overuse of physical body takes away from mental clarity. Excessive exposure to sun causes fatigue. Susceptible to summer fatigue. Develops mucus in the head and circulatory system (e.g. sinus, allergies) therefore, congestive. Cannot process whole wheat products. An A blood type is 80% acid ‑ see acidity section. Be careful with the physical body. Lacks hydrochloric acid (HC1). Exercise: Tai Chi or Yoga first thing in the morning.

         - Blood Type A Diet

Type A with B Trait: (i.e. one of the parents might have teen Type B). Likes order in life. Needs fish and chicken. High stress will cause toxicity.

Supplements: (when healthy). Practically no vitamins. B complex in small amounts (not from a yeast source, better from rice polishing sources). Hydrochloric acid, perhaps for life. Vitamin C ‑ 250 mg. (too much can injure the kidneys). Calcium, Kelp for the thyroid.

Blood Type AB: Falls under A group.

Blood Type B: When healthy, not too much protein, should be middle of the road People are drawn towards Type B people. These people love order. If there is no order, they become confused. Good business managers. Can develop Type A or Type O condition if not well. Patient person. Heavy physical exercise needed. Makes a good athlete. Can do Tai Chi or Yoga. Increase flesh foods if fatigued. Prone to sinus,

mucus, circulatory problems. If mucus conditions are present it could be due to too many dairy products, so treat as a Type A person. If exhaustion occurs with no mucus, treat as a Type O.
- Blood Type B Diet

Blood Type O: Most people fall into this group. Enjoys physical exercise. Needs to crank up to get going. The more they exercise the better they feel. The way into their mind is through exercise, therefore, exercise and then study. Problem solving is easier after exercise. If O people exercise regularly, they look younger and feel better. Shouldn't be a vegetarian, or sooner or later the body will become fatigued. The body requires protein, but must exercise to burn it off. Whole wheat and whole grains are handled well when the person is healthy. Milk is handled well when healthy. Could develop thyroid problems and excess mucus.
- Blood Type O Diet

O with an A trait (i.e., if one of the parents was an A blood type): Cannot process dairy products well, therefore mucus develops.

O with a B trait (i.e., one parent was Type B): Same as an O but be careful with dairy products. No heavy meats.

O with an AB trait: Monitor consumption of dairy products.. Sometimes there can be poor thyroid function caused by adrenal stress. See section on thyroid. Alfalfa is a help.

Supplements: Mega doses of B complex vitamins. Calcium; (can take most kinds except calcium lactate, dolomite and bonemeal). Vitamin C, as high a dose as desired Kelp, small quantity only as kelp affects the thyroid system. No Hydrochloric Acid as this creates ulcers. Usually a Type O has too much hydrochloric acid.

Blood:

It has been stated that if you can keep the blood clean and healthy and working the way it should, you increase your chances of good health. The blood needs oxygen. Both deep breathing and exercise will help oxygenate the blood. Large doses of Vitamin C will also oxygenate. Keep in mind if you are an A blood type, do not take too much Vitamin C.

Anemia: Should one suffer from anemia,do not take white vinegar as it destroys red blood cells. For anemia, Tissue Salt #4 (Ferrum Phosphate ) should be taken as directed.

Hot and cold baths (alternating) help to stimulate the system. You can try the following: Place your feet in hot water for 1 minute, then in cold water for 1 minute. Do this 5 to 10 times.

Foods: Foods such as watercress, beets, fish, parsley, lemon juice, calves liver are recommended.

Herbs: Herbs that help build the blood: Chlorophyll, Chaparral, Dandelion, Red Clover, Yellow Dock.

Boils:

Boils like other skin disorders represent a retention of waste matter in the body. One should consider a proper diet and detoxification program.

Bodywork: Epsom Salt baths.

Supplements: Vitamins A, C and E should be taken.

Herbs: Herb teas such as Red Clover tea taken 3 times a day help purify the blood. Golden Seal tea is an excellent remedy. If you are pregnant or have Hypoglycemia take Myrrh instead.

Homeopathic: Try Hepar Sulph followed by Silica.

Brain:

The enlarged and highly developed mass of nervous tissue that forms the upper end of the central nervous system. The brain is the first organ to show fatigue and needs the more nourishment.

Foods: All protein foods. Those high in phosphorus, e.g., avocados, soybeans, nuts, seeds, butter, goat's milk, fish, especially salmon. Foods high in potassium.

Bodywork: To increase the blood flow to the brain use a slant board, deep breathing, jogging, preferably on the rebounder.

Supplements: Manganese (one 3 times a week until the container is finished, then do not take any for 6 months). Potassium, Niacin, Vitamin E, Glutamic Acid, Lecithin, Calcium, Vitamin C.

Herbs: Gotu kola, Periwinkle, Cayenne, Bee Pollen, Black Walnut, Fo‑Ti.

Burns:

Supplements: Vitamin E liquid.

Herbs: Aloe Vera.

Note: Apply liquid Vitamin E first; follow with Aloe Vera

Homeopathic: Mother tincture of Hypericum, soak dressing. Mother tincture of Utica Urens, soak dressing. Tissue Salt #4 (Ferrum Phos.) taken internally and also used as a poultice when mixed with water or Dr. Bach's Rescue Remedy. Arnica 200 at once to help counteract shock or Aconite 200 if suffering from fright followed by Cantharis 30 every 30 minutes until relief is obtained.
