Acne:

A skin disorder in which the sebaceous glands become inflamed. Usually, it starts at adolescence and occurs generally on the face, chest and back.

Food: Follow the Yes/No list under diet. Drink 5 to 6 glasses of spring water a day.

Supplements: Evening Primrose Oil, Zinc and Propolis

Herbs: The following have been found to be helpful: Red Clover, Chlorophyll, Dandelion, Chaparral, Chickweed can be used as an external scrub.

Homeopathic: Start with Sulphur and follow with Graphites if necessary. Or take Tissue Salt #3 (Calc Sulph).

Allergies:

A disorder in which the body becomes hypersensitive to particular antigens. It is believed that all allergies come from the stomach and digestion. Watch for artificial colors and preservatives.

Foods: The following foods could cause allergic reactions and should be eliminated from the diet for 6 weeks then reintroduced one at a time to see if there is a reaction: cow's and goat's milk, soya, chocolate, grapes, oranges, eggs, peanuts, corn, wheat, oats. If more than one food is causing the problem a check for Candida Albicans should be done. Severe allergies indicate a weak immune system.

Supplements: Evening Primrose Oil (three times a day), Manganese (one, 3 times a week at breakfast, (use one box then do not take it for 6 months as it is stored in the body), B 15, Bee Pollen (but do not take if there is an allergy to bees and honey).

Anemia:

A reduction in the quantity of the oxygen carrying pigment hemoglobin in the blood. The main symptoms are excessive tiredness and fatigue. It can occur from a deficient diet or stress.

Food: The following foods can prove useful: black cherry juice, green leafy vegetables, calves liver, eggs, raisins, seeds, nuts and iron foods. Avoid cold drinks.

Supplements: Increase vitamins and minerals for a while. Take B complex vitamins. Get plenty of sunshine (vitamin D). Liquid Chlorophyll taken twice a day will help build the blood.

Herbs: Dandelion is excellent. Yellow Dock should be tried as it is high in natural iron.

Homeopathic: Tissue Salt #4 (Ferrum Phos) as directed.

Appendicitis:

An inflammation of the veriform appendix, often seen in young people. For mild cases the following can be tried.

Children: 2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera juice every 2 hours or so; 2 to 3 ounces of distilled water

every 1/2 hour.

Adults: 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera juice to start, followed by 1 tablespoon every 2 hours.

Check the lower back and have Lumbar 5 corrected. Remember in all emergency cases to

consult a doctor immediately.

Homeopathic: Iris

Arthritis:

An inflammation of one or more joints, characterized by swelling, warmth, redness of the skin, pain and movement restriction. Often there can be weakness in the pancreas, bowel, thyroid, heart, stomach or circulation. An acid stomach for example, can burn out sodium in the body so calcium cannot be kept in solution. An accident to a bony structure can cause the circulation to be so impaired that sodium cannot reach the scar tissue, therefore arthritis develops.

Food: Sodium foods (see list): whey, celery, black mission figs (2 per day), goat's milk, strawberries (no sugar), carrots, parsley, wheat germ, bananas, pecans, avocadoes, whole grains, raw seeds and nuts, hawthorn tea for the circulation, juices (grape, pineapple, prune, fig, apple, black cherry), 1/2 cup carrot juice plus 1/4 cup celery juice and 1/4 cup beet juice, psyllium, wheat bran, oat bran, flaxseed meal, dulse, rice polishings, veal joint broth, calcium foods (yogurt, cheese, sardines, salmon, kale, collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, broccoli, seeds and nuts. Pumpkin seeds are best. Take 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds a day, increase water intake to at least 5 or 6 glasses of spring water a day. Limit wheat, milk and sugar (these inhibit digestion and absorption), limit spinach and swiss chard. Vegetables carry off acid, fruits stir it up. Eliminate red meats, bread, rice, potatoes, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers. No junk food, alcohol or fried food.

Bodywork: Exercise is very important. Should the arthritis be in the extremities (hands and feet), soak these areas in rosemary tea (cooled) several times a day. When not localized, take rosemary baths, for 10 to 15 minutes each time, 2 to 3 times a day. Epsom Salt baths are also excellent to draw out the toxic wastes from the body. Most people can tolerate 1 cup of Epsom Salts per tub. Five to ten minutes to start is enough. It is better if they are taken in the evening before going to bed.

Supplements: Take Bioflavanoids, Lecithin, Vitamin D, B12, B6, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Zinc, Evening Primrose Oil (three times a day), Hydrochloric Acid (e.g. Glutamic Acid, HCI).

Herbs: Alfalfa (three times a day for 4 months), Slippery Elm, Horsetail tea, Aloe Vera juice, Burdock. Yucca helps to reduce swelling and inflammation in the joints. Take Dandelion, Chaparral, Hawthorn tea.

Homeopathic: If there are shooting pains, take Tissue salt #8 (Mag Phos) as directed. Take Argentum Metallicum first and follow with Argentum Nitricum.

Asthma:

A condition characterized by difficulty in breathing. Bronchial asthma may be precipitated by exposure to one or more of a large range of stimuli, infections, or food. The first attacks can occur at any age, but often they begin in early life when, in allergic people, they may be associated with other manifestations of hypersensitivity, such as eczema and hay fever.

Food: Eliminate wheat and dairy products for 6 weeks to see if there is an improvement.

Bodywork: To relieve acute attacks, create a steambath in your bathroom. Close the door,

run the hot water in the shower and inhale vaporized air for 15 minutes.

Supplements: Increase your Vitamin A and Vitamin C. An adult would take Evening

Primrose Oil, three 3 times a day.

Herbs: To soothe bronchial tubes, drink Slippery Elm tea three times a day. A good tea is Golden Seal, but this should not be taken if you are hypoglycemic. Another excellent herbal tea is a mixture of Coltsfoot, Nettle, Fennel, Plantain, Lungwort and Thyme. 1 drop for each year of life, e.g., a three year old child would take three drops in juice. Lobelia and Mullein are excellent herbs.

Homeopathic: For children, give Thuja first, followed by Hepar Sulphuris. For adults, good results have occurred taking Ipecacuanha, Antimonium Sulph, Chamomilla.
