As of May 2003,
Hormone Replacement Therapy has now been shown to increase risk not
only of cancer but of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of senile
dementia (see
HRT Now Linked to Alzheimer's, Dementia).
If there were a natural, harmless substitute — would you be interested
in hearing about it? |
Recently,
while I was in the Yucatàn, I learned of a project being conducted in
South America by the University of Peru. Scientists had gone into the area
around the headwaters of the Amazon, looking for ways to save the
rainforests (which as we all know are essential for our survival).
There, the scientists found that the women of an
indigenous Amazon tribe, the Quechua, are living something that almost no
other women in the world can claim: They have almost none of the problems
normally associated with female hormonal imbalances. PMS, hot flashes, and
hormonal mood swings are virtually unknown among the women of the Quechua.
In searching for why these women are so unusually
healthy, the scientists discovered that all of them either chew or drink a
tea made from Piri Piri grasses that grow only in the area around the
mouth of the Amazon River. (There are many other varieties of Piri Piri in
South America, but these particular grasses are unique to this one area.)
The university scientists then talked to a Quechua
shaman to find out how the Piri Piri is used, and how a product might be
manufactured to give to other women.
With this information, they then formed a plan whereby
tribal members would be paid to collect the grasses and bring them to the
University, where they could be made into an herbal extract. The idea
behind this venture was that it would provide a source of income to the
tribes that would encourage them to preserve their local environment.
Since the Piri Piri depends upon a rainforest habitat, it would no longer
be economically viable for the Quechua to allow that habitat to be
destroyed.
So the Piri Piri was gathered, the extract was
manufactured at the University of Peru under clean, laboratory conditions,
and the resulting product, called Female-Aid,
was offered for distribution to a company here in the States.
Our Experiences with Female-Aid
Upon returning from Peru, we immediately obtained a
supply of this extract, and gave it to a group of women, including staff
members and relatives — just to see what it would do.
However, because of FDA restrictions, if we explain to
you the results of our experiments, we will not be allowed to make this
product available to you.
We can say that we are aware at this time of several women who no
longer experience menopausal symptoms. Further, we have noticed a marked
increase in the breast size of certain female acquaintances who had
complained of their proportions in this area, and have been told by others
that they have experienced a firming of the bustline and a softening of
their skin. How did these things come about? We don't know. We absolutely
do not claim that the use of Female-Aid might have contributed in any way
to these results.
The University of Peru does affirm that use of
Female-Aid seems to bring estrogen
into balance, even though there is no estrogen in the formula itself. And
they say that there are no known negative side effects.
Very excited about what this product could mean to our
female friends (and the men who live with them!), Atlantis Energy Network
has obtained an agreement to receive through the distribution company all
of the Female-Aid that the University
of Peru can produce.
To make sure that you receive the full benefit of this
product without interruption, since we have found that it is important to
take it daily in order to continue the positive effects, please check out
our Autoship Program (on the
Female-Aid order information page).
(If for any reason you decide to stop taking the extract, a simple email
will suffice to make sure you receive no future shipments.)
Future Amazon Herbal Extracts
There are other products coming out of the University
of Peru under this save-the-rainforests program. As we test them and find
them useful, we may offer them to you in the future.
